Fantasy Forecaster: Back to the Red Sox well

Laughter In The Dark: Good MatchupsBoston Red Sox: 1 vs. TEX; 3 vs. TB; 3 @DET. If at first you don't succeed I had Boston as one of my favorite hitting teams of last week, and the Beantown boppers were mediocre, at best, at least heading into the weekend. I guess that's what happens when you run into the buzz saw that is the Seattle Mariners. Anyway, getting four games against the two worst pitching staffs in baseball should be a nice antidote. The Devil Rays strike out a ton of batters, and Boston has struggled with Scott Kazmir before, but Brandon McCarthy, Edwin Jackson and J.P. Howell shouldn't scare the Sox. A little more patience, and your Boston hitters should blow up. Philadelphia Phillies: 3 @HOU; 3 @COL. The scrappy Phillies might be running out of scrap. They've gotten above .500 and made a run at the Mets with a sweep in Shea earlier this month, but the pitching just isn't there. Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins and company have been stoic trying to carry the team, and this week they'll visit a Houston pitching staff that has a 1.51 WHIP, a .349 BAA and an MLB-high 43 homers over the past 30 days. Three games in Coors should be tasty enough, too.
