Fantasy Forecaster: Angels, Phillies to finish strong
Los Angeles Angels: 3 vs. TB; 4 vs. SEA. For the past month, Seattle's collective ERA is 5.44, second-worst in the American League. Jeff Weaver has gone back to being Jeff Weaver, and Horacio Ramirez and Miguel Batista might in fact be the same pitcher, simply throwing with a different arm on different nights. That Mariners series no longer looks like much of a showdown, so your Angels hitters will be able to relax. Games against Edwin Jackson and Jason Hammel earlier in the week should aid in that effort.
Philadelphia Phillies: 3 @STL; 4 @WAS. Call it a hunch. I know the Nats have pitched it pretty well lately and RFK is huge. And I'm not saying Philly's my pick to win the NL wild card. But I do think the Phillies will score this week. Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley and Ryan Howard are clutch, and I think they'll bring along some of their lesser mates. The Cardinals' deep fade doesn't hurt, either.
