Yeah ... looks pretty much ready to meCarlos Quentin, OF, White Sox (Triple-A Charlotte)
Sunday's stats: 2-for-2, RBI, BB
The biggest impact to the American League Central race might not come via trade but rather by Quentin's return to the White Sox's roster. Out since May 25 with a foot injury, Quentin made just one out in six plate appearances this past weekend in the International League. In the division with nothing close to a dominant team, he could be the difference.
Trying to make the big guy look badIan Snell, RHP, Pirates (Triple-A Indianapolis)
Sunday's stats: 7 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K's
Last week, Pittsburgh GM Neal Huntington labeled Snell's contract extension as a mistake. At the time, it certainly was understandable based on Snell's miserable season, but the right-hander clearly has figured something out in the minors. At Indianapolis, he has yet to allow an earned run in 14 innings while striking out 23 of the 50 batters he's faced and limiting them to a .149 batting average.
