If you're a veteran fantasy baseball owner, chances are you've already heard all the terms: Sleeper, breakout player, bargain, late-round gamble. All of them denote undervalued talent to consider at the draft table. However, with so many different league formats and varying depths of lineups and rosters, those labels can mean very different things depending on the type of league in which you play. For instance, a sleeper to a mixed-league owner might be a well-known commodity to an NL-only owner. But that player likely will be undervalued in both formats, and for that reason, it's worth mentioning him to both owners.

As a result, I've compiled a list of 20 "go get 'em" names for the 2005 season, players who bring much fantasy appeal but shouldn't cost you an overwhelming price. Each can be a breakout candidate, sleeper, bargain or not worth drafting at all, and it all depends upon the depth of your league. (Here's the fun part: You apply the label.)

Daniel Cabrera, SP, Orioles: He showed excellent signs of growth the second half of 2005, registering a 3.06 ERA, 1.254 WHIP and .221 batting average allowed in his final 14 starts, compared to 5.48/1.453/.247 in his first 15. Cabrera's control has historically been a concern, but with Leo Mazzone now coaching him, he could improve quickly in that area. There's no telling how quickly that might happen, meaning Cabrera's big breakout might come in 2007, but it's worth the risk that it could happen this year.
