Hamilton poised for big second half
Returning to old swing should help All-Star regain last year's form

"Just watch out for the second half." That was how Josh Hamilton ended my conversation with him in St. Louis at the All-Star Game, and it's certainly the kind of statement his fantasy owners want to hear after a first half that did not live up to expectations. Hamilton hit just .243 with six homers before the break while battling multiple injuries that led to two stints on the disabled list. Long-time readers know that when I talk to players, I'm interested in asking them about what I see in their swings or their pitching mechanics. I generally want to see if they agree with my observations or confirm what I'm seeing, and how aware they are of what they're doing. I think it helps to provide a more complete picture of what the player can do going forward. In a game of incomplete information, every little bit helps.
