Baseball HQ: Injury Report
After the first two months of the 2007 season, the number of disabled list moves is at a record pace. Last season, major league baseball recorded 414 DL moves. As of May 31, MLB has already recorded 249 DL stints, with several more possible due to retroactive moves. This is 60 percent of all the moves that were made last season. With three months left in the "DL season," it looks like MLB will pass last season's 414 moves before the first of August (note: teams rarely place a player on the disabled list during the month of September due to roster expansion).
