Headley an intriguing sleeper

Chase Headley has had pretty much the same season in 2009 that he had in 2008. Unfortunately, that's not a good thing, because this was the season he was supposed to start showing some offensive improvement.
In 331 at-bats last year, Headley hit .269 with nine homers and slugged .420. This year, in 333 at-bats, he has hit .246 with nine homers and slugged .384. The player who scouts thought has the potential to hit .300 with 20 homers in the big leagues, just hasn't been able to get any traction.
"The thing for me is being consistent," Headley said. "I do like where my swings are now. I have had periods where I've felt locked in, but just haven't sustained a long hot streak. What makes good players good is they can make adjustments quickly, and I'm still working on doing that.
