Tom, Springfield - MA: Which one of these players is the better keeper for this season? AL-only, 5X5 - Marcus Thames ($3), Ryan Shealy ($15), Dan Johnson ($10)
Tristan H. Cockcroft: I'm going to say Marcus Thames, as I think his $3 price tag will wind up closest to his actual value. I know he doesn't really have a place to play regularly, but he could sneak in a good 350-400 at-bats all over the outfield and at DH and give you some surprising power numbers at a dirt-cheap price. Meanwhile, neither of those first basemen is guaranteed to hold down his job and make a profit at those prices.
