It's never too early to prepare for the 2007 fantasy baseball season! So many things can change between now and next opening day, but in order to give you a head start on your research, here are my early outfield rankings. Since outfield has more players than most, I broke them down into two parts, this week's column covering National Leaguers and the overall mixed top 75, while last week's covered American Leaguers. (Free agents are listed in the league in which they most recently played.)

(Catchers, first basemen, second basemen, shortstops, third basemen and AL outfielders have already appeared, and I'll cover a new position each week of the offseason.)

1. Alfonso Soriano, Cubs: Will his performance drop off now that he's living in contract luxury? Maybe, though the move from RFK Stadium, a bottom-eight ballpark in runs and homers on the Park Factor page, to Wrigley Field, a top-six park in both, should help his cause. Soriano will be 31 on opening day, and in a deeper lineup than last year, so another 30/30 campaign should be within his reach. Think something like his 2005, at least.
