Tristan H. Cockcroft: Good morning everyone! The offseason is finally here, but it's never too early to prepare for 2007 ... Who has a fantasy baseball question that needs answering? Jake (Kansas City): Whats the outlook for Wilson Betemit in 2007? Capable fantasy starter? Tristan H. Cockcroft: Well, the main problem with Betemit is that he really only has one place to play in the Dodger infield, third base, and I keep hearing talk the team's going to look for a more experienced player (Aramis Ramirez?) there. I'd say Betemit could be a useful fantasy corner infielder if the Dodgers fail to get a better option, but there's a good chance he's going to enter the year as the top infield backup. In that role, he'd have to hope for an injury, maybe to Jeff Kent, to have value, meaning only minimal value in NL-only formats. Don't get your hopes too high.
