Jim (Staten Island, NY): Tristan, what's your prognosis for Big Tex? I'd like to get him and I was wondering if Schmidt or Myers for Tex is a fair deal? Thanks.
Tristan H. Cockcroft: As I wrote in "Out of the Box" today, Mark Teixeira's batting average and on-base percentage are right where they were in 2005, his doubles rate is right there as well, and there's nothing in his profile to suggest he's any less a hitter this season, except in the power department. I think a big-time homer streak is coming; a lot of players get pretty hot come June. If I have either of those arms, I think they'd be fine ones to deal in a buy-low, sell-high trade to land Big Teix.
