News that Orioles first baseman Rafael Palmeiro has been suspended for 10 days for violating Major League Baseball's steroids policy leaves a bitter taste in this fantasy owner's mouth. Wasn't it just two weeks ago that he was registering his 3,000th career hit, becoming the fourth player in history -- Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Eddie Murray were the others -- to rack up both 3,000 hits and 500 homers in a career? Isn't this the guy who had effectively stamped his ticket to Cooperstown, despite a career that never saw him win a Most Valuable Player award or even finish higher than fifth in the balloting?
