• By winning Game 5 of the ALCS in Anaheim, the White Sox became only the fourth team to advance to a World Series by winning the final three games of a League Championship Series on the road. The other teams to do so were the 1991 Twins (ALCS vs. Toronto), 1996 Yankees (ALCS vs. Baltimore) and 2001 Diamondbacks (NLCS vs. Atlanta).
