• The Brewers took it on the chin Sunday, dropping an 11-0 decision to the Reds one day after defeating Cincinnati by an identical score. It's only the second time in major league history that teams split consecutive games against each other, each winning a shutout by a margin of at least 11 runs. The only other time it happened was in a doubleheader at Baltimore on Sept. 27, 1899, when John McGraw guided Baltimore to an 11-0 win over Philadelphia in the opener, but suffered a 15-0 loss in the nightcap.
