A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:

NBA

• Chris Paul recorded the first triple-double of his career in the Hornets' 120-113 double-overtime win against the Raptors Sunday night. In fact, it was actually a triple-dozen. Paul scored 24 points with 12 rebounds and 12 assists, to become the first rookie with triple-12s since Jay Williams did it for the Bulls in 2002. The only other active players to have done so as rookies were Steve Francis, Antoine Walker, and Chris Webber.
