A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:
• The Pistons increased their Central Division lead to 15½ games on Monday after their second victory over the Cavaliers in as many days. That's the largest division lead for any NBA team at any time during the last 10 seasons (since Chicago finished the 1995-96 campaign with a 20-game lead over Indiana in the Central).
• The Pistons and Cavaliers were the sixth pair of teams to play home-and-home on consecutive days this season; five of those six pairs of games resulted in sweeps. Detroit hasn't lost to the same team on consecutive days in more than 30 years, since dropping a pair to the K.C.-Omaha Kings (Feb. 15-16, 1975). The Pistons have played 21 such sets of games since then, sweeping 13 of them and splitting eight.
