A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:
• Kirk Triplett won the Chrysler Classic on Sunday, starting his round with birdies on each of the first five holes. That equaled the second-longest streak of Triplett's career within a single round. He recorded seven consecutive birdies in the 1996 Buick Invitational, and he previously had a streak of five in the 1995 Buick Challenge.
