• Six of the seven players involved in last week's trade between the Celtics and Timberwolves appeared against their former team Monday in the Timberwolves' 110-85 win over the Celtics. It's the first time in NBA history that as many as six players appeared in a game against a former team within a week of playing for that team. There have been three previous instances in which as many as four players appeared in a game against a former team within a week of playing for that team.

• Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady played together Monday for the 15th game of the season, but it was not enough to lift the Rockets to victory. Houston is 9-6 when both Yao and McGrady have appeared this season, 0-5 when neither player has appeared, and 6-18 when one or the other has played (0-8 with Yao and without McGrady; 6-10 with McGrady and without Yao).
