A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:
• The Rangers' Petr Prucha and Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby each scored their 25th goal of the season in Saturday's game at Madison Square Garden. This is the first season in NHL history in which four rookies have scored 25-plus goals before the end of January (Prucha, Crosby, Alex Ovechkin and Marek Svatos). The previous record was three in 1981-82, when Steve Bozek, Dale Hawerchuk and Barry Pederson all had at least 25 goals before February.
