• Brendan Shanahan scored a go-ahead power-play goal in the third period to give the Red Wings a 2-1 victory over the Canucks Thursday night. It was the 100th game-winning goal of Shanahan's career, a mark attained by only three other NHL players: Gordie Howe (121), Phil Esposito (118), and Brett Hull (110).
