• San Antonio handed the Knicks their seventh straight loss on Wednesday night, the longest losing streak by a Larry Brown-coached team since Philadelphia dropped seven in a row in December 2001. The last time one of Brown's teams had a losing streak longer than the Knicks' current skid was in December 1988, when San Antonio suffered eight consecutive losses. • Michael Finley led the Spurs with 19 points, starting in place of the injured Manu Ginobili. Finley has averaged 32.8 minutes and 15.0 points per game while starting each of the eight games that Ginobili has missed this season, compared to 25.2 minutes and 8.7 points per game coming off the bench in the 13 games in which both he and Ginobili have played.
