A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:
• Monday Night Football marked the second game this season in which the Patriots, who lost to the Colts 40-21, allowed at least 40 points at home. They lost to the Chargers at the "Big Razor" 41-17 on Oct. 2. Before this season only four defending Super Bowl champions had allowed 40-plus points in a home game. No team had done it more than once in a season, and no team had done it at all since the 49ers beat the Giants at the Meadowlands in 1987, 41-21 (in a replacement players game -- the last time it happened to the "real" defending champs was when the Chargers won in San Francisco in 1982, 41-37).
