A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:
• Five NBA games were decided by either one or two points Saturday, matching the most such games on any one day in the 60-year history of the league. There have been five other days on which there were five such games played, most recently Nov. 3, 1990. • The Wizards defeated Orlando 87-79, and Washington is 3-0 for the first time since Dick Motta's team, then called the Bullets, won its first three games in the 1978-79 season. So ends the longest streak of consecutive seasons -- 26 of them -- without a 3-0 start in NBA history.
