Thanksgiving is an awesome holiday, and not just because of the terrific food and the chance to spend quality time with family. Football is a big part of the day, and while some might complain that the games on the docket don't look like the most competitive ones, I'm OK with it. I mean, I'll be watching football on Sunday and Monday as well, and I want to see good games there, too. Plus, who can say what will and won't be a good game? Didn't the Lions and Browns surprise us in Week 11 with 75 total points and a winning touchdown with no time remaining?

The Lions might be without Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson, which is a shame, but I'll still be watching when Daunte Culpepper and Dennis Northcutt hook up for a touchdown. Hey, if this duo was able to put points on the board in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers -- look it up! -- then they can do so against the Green Bay Packers. I like Ryan Grant a lot more than Kevin Smith on Thursday, Marion Barber over Felix Jones, no matter what a certain team owner says, and I expect plenty of points to be scored in the night game as Eli Manning and Kyle Orton air things out. Nothing says shootout like Eli and Kyle. I don't care if we get three blowouts. I'm still watching!

Meanwhile, here are the players (and situations) to watch for Sunday and Monday.
