Running back time shares are often misunderstood, but when it comes to the rankings, I decide who I like better, then react. Some pretty good NFL teams have multiple relevant running backs, and fantasy owners aren't quite sure what to do. Well, I know right away whom I like better in each of these cases, then rank them where I believe is appropriate. If something goes awry, as many think it did with Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell on Sunday, it doesn't worry me much. It's still just one game.
I like Thomas better than Bell, and I still believe the New Orleans Saints do as well. On Sunday, Bell picked up a touchdown and the touches were pretty even. It's one game. To me, Thomas has the upside. Thomas is the one truly capable of more big games, more consistent performance. In a way, each situation is different, but ultimately when it comes to rankings time, which for me is on Tuesday nights, I make my decisions and run with them.
