Week 4 rankings reaction: WRs, Brady, defenses

Have I mentioned I'm not a fan of bye weeks? When I sat down to rank all the players for Week 4, it sure seemed to me that certain positions were affected more by the absence of these four teams than others. I mean, the wide receiver position is not very impressive this week. I figured out the top 10 wide receivers kind of easily -- though I couldn't believe Jerricho Cotchery ended up there -- and then I felt that there was nobody to rank until the 25-30 range. Where did the WR2 options go?

Looking at my rankings in the 10-25 range at wide receiver, I'm a bit embarrassed. Seeing what everyone else did, though, I realize it's just one of those weeks. I went on this blog tirade the other day about how Terrell Owens isn't an automatic start each week anymore -- he's not, by the way, and I was surprised to see the feedback generally agree -- but I didn't have much choice but to place him at No. 20. There was nobody else! I had already ranked Kevin Walter, Santana Moss and Mario Manningham in the teens. I'm no particular fan of Chad Ochocinco, but the Cincinnati Bengals seem rejuvenated and the Cleveland Browns certainly aren't, so the matchup helped push him to No. 12. I couldn't believe I had done this. Donald Driver at No. 11? Have I lost my mind?
