Baskett is a useful fantasy catch

I miss Hank Baskett in Philly already. The Indianapolis Colts have signed the former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, which seems to me to be a perfect place for him. Of course, this also speaks to the Colts' current situation, which some might view as a bit dire now that Anthony Gonzalez is out for at least two weeks, and possibly up to two months. Someday -- and it could be this year -- we might see Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie do great things, but the Colts needed to act fast when the Eagles foolishly cut Baskett, so good for them.

It wouldn't surprise me if Baskett becomes the immediate starter opposite Reggie Wayne, and since Peyton Manning is the quarterback for what is expected to be one of the top scoring offenses in football, I'd say yes, Baskett will matter in fantasy football pretty much right away. I mean, we had projected Gonzalez for 79 receptions, 940 yards and five touchdowns. I don't think Baskett has the same ability level, and if you gave him 15 starts from here on out, he wouldn't put up those lofty numbers, but it is safe to assume Baskett has a wonderful opportunity here.
