Rich Harden was downright filthy on Thursday. The Phillies had no chance. Even if Harden was facing a team that wasn't slumping, it wouldn't have mattered. The guy can pitch. And now, apparently, the guy can stay healthy, at least until I trade for him.
Call me crazy, but I know it's true. I don't own Harden in any leagues that I know of, but if I did, I'm quite certain I wouldn't be able to trade him. At the same time, I wouldn't be able to trade for him. He's untradable!
A small aside, if you will: I seem to say that line about my myriad fantasy teams quite a bit, the "not that I know of" line. I don't mean to be trite. I just don't know. I have a bunch of teams. I don't think I would have drafted Harden anywhere, not that I didn't think he could be good, but due to health, and always because someone else always pulled the trigger first. Maybe I do have him? I should check. Sometimes when I say that little phrase I wonder if it's similar to what Shawn Kemp went through back in the day, you know? "Hmmm, I remember that day ... it was ... yeah, it was about that many months ago I did that ... you want me to pay what to make up for it? That's not value? Where's my lawyer?" Just insert draft and trade stuff instead, or something like that.
