I'm always amused when fantasy owners find reasons for why their teams stink, then try to justify them. I had a bad draft, some like to say. Injuries torpedoed the season, according to others. And this one time, at band camp, someone blamed their lost season on a full moon.
Hey, a loss is still a loss in fantasy, no matter how it happens. I'm not saying an owner can successfully fix every situation, because sometimes it's just not possible, but don't bother with the excuses. Not everyone is going to have a good season, only one team can win it all.
So it is with my list of the biggest busts in fantasy basketball so far this season. Injuries are the main reason these guys have underperformed, but as I often say and write, there won't be an asterisk next to your last-place team with a note at the bottom of the standings that says, "Unlucky injuries are the reason, so let's give him a pass and all have sympathy for the guy." Doesn't work that way.
