No loyalty in fantasy football

While I trust very little about what I read on the NFL injury reports -- and have for years -- the fact is that coaches should use a little redirection when it comes to divulging key information about their players. The goal is to win games, right? Don't you think the Patriots prepared a bit differently for the Colts on Sunday based on the reports about Marvin Harrison?

Fantasy owners despise this, of course, but should get used to it. Ultimately Harrison did not play, even though the Colts had been saying he was cleared by doctors to play and was likely to play. I saw a few leagues of mine in which Harrison was left active, and those owners were none too happy, especially if someone like Bobby Engram was on the bench to go off. To play or not to play, that is the question. Fantasy owners deal with this every week, on a far different level than a Tony Dungy, but decisions need to be made, and sometimes the information isn't exactly plentiful. The solution?

Well, I always find it easier when we know our players are out, but in lieu of that, it's also not often we see an injured player who is active put on a memorable show.
