Week 6 wrap: Peterson becomes LT?

Tom Brady had another magnificent day as he goes after Peyton Manning's single-season touchdown record, but two running backs had bigger fantasy days on Sunday. One of them is not a surprise, a scoring machine who is already fifth on the all-time list in rushing touchdowns. The other is a rookie. Whom would you rather have for the next three seasons?

Think about it. LaDainian Tomlinson is terrific, of course, but he'll be 29 next season, and we know running backs tend to hit a wall when they hit 30. There's a lot of mileage on those tires, though I won't bet against him when next season starts.

Then there's the guy who did a whole lot of great things on Sunday, and not just in terms of being a rookie. Adrian Peterson had one of those historic days. Two rushing touchdowns of at least 65 yards in a game? Well, that had been done three times -- ever. At least 356 all-purpose yards in a game? Yeah, that had also been done only three times -- ever. Not rookies, people, among all players. Other than that, no Vikings running back had ever gone over 200 rushing yards, nobody had ever done this against the Bears and that Eric Dickerson guy is the only one to ever rush for more yards in the first five games of his career.
