Before we get to a few e-mails with extended answers from me, let's discuss some important happenings from Friday night.
-Yes, that was Eric Gagne getting the save against Seattle. His fastball looked fine to me, especially when he fanned Ichiro Suzuki. I'd still wait on dropping Akinori Otsuka in AL-only leagues, because Gagne did this last season (one save, and then he was gone).
-Yes, that was Brad Lidge warming up in the fifth inning at Philly, then pitching in the sixth. I wish Phil Garner would make up his mind. Dan Wheeler struck out the side in the ninth for the save. That clarifies more, really. By the way, I wouldn't get too worried about either Roy Oswalt or Brett Myers from that game. It was cold, really cold, and pretty clear neither ace could find the strike zone.
