I'm taking a little heat these days for my comments regarding Syracuse (on air) and Duke (Power 16), indicating their respective nonconference scheduling practices .
For the record, my Syracuse remarks pertained to the avoidance of pre-conference road games as a possible explanation for last season's NCAA Tournament snub. I'm taking about "true" road games only, not Madison Square Garden events or semi-neutral dates at pro arenas in Buffalo, Rochester or Albany. We all know a true road game is one played in the other team's gym.
