Injuries testing Bills' secondary depth

The Buffalo Bills' secondary was hit hard by injuries in Week 3, but the team might be able to overcome them. According to the Bills' Web site, safety Donte Whitner suffered a thumb injury that will require surgery. Cornerback Leodis McKelvin cracked a bone in his fibula and is out indefinitely. Safety Bryan Scott suffered an ankle injury.

Fortunately for the Bills, they have depth at defensive back. Drayton Florence can take over for McKelvin and can be backed up by Ashton Youboty and Reggie Corner. There is also plenty of depth at safety.

Henne's time is now: The Miami Dolphins were hoping to turn their offense over to QB Chad Henne next season, but the torch has been passed now with the news that Chad Pennington is likely out for the season because of a shoulder injury. With Pennington being in the final year of his contract, there is a good chance he won't be re-signed after the season, especially if Henne plays well. Because Pennington has had two previous shoulder operations, his long-term future is in question. This is a huge blow to the Dolphins.
