Leroy Scott (Houston/South Houston) recently received his first offer. The first school to extend an offer in writing is the Baylor Bears. The hard-hitting corner and nickel back prospect has the Texas Longhorns on top of LSU for his services.
Miami is the latest program to show heavy interest and is third on the list for Scott. Notre Dame, Arkansas and Kansas are also showing a lot of interest.
Scott said he plans to attend the Texas-Texas A&M game Thanksgiving night.
• Senior defensive end
Darren Leaks (Houston/South Houston) is receiving interest from Louisiana Tech and junior college programs. The 6-3, 215-pounder is one of the most talented players in the state, but will likely have to go the junior college route.
