Friday afternoon quick hitters.
• ESPN affiliate AuburnUndercover.com broke the news last night that defensive end Adrian Hubbard (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) is making an unofficial visit this weekend to check out the Tigers game with Ole Miss. The 6-foot-7, 230-pound Hubbard is a fast-riser. He picked up offers from Clemson, South Carolina and Florida State last week and Alabama appears to be showing strong interest now, along with the Tigers. Hubbard did not play football last year, opting to concentrate on a basketball career instead. He returned to the gridiron this season and has been outstanding.
Scouts Inc.'s Craig Haubert evaluated Hubbard recently and was very positive.
