Lattimore impressed with Penn State

The big game in the Big Ten this past weekend was in State College, Pa., as the Buckeyes took on Penn State. Joe Paterno and his Penn State staff hosted a talented group of prospects, including two players who were on official visits -- running back Marcus Lattimore (Duncan, S.C./Byrnes) and defensive lineman Michael Thornton (Stone Mountain, Ga./Stephenson).

Lattimore is the No. 16 overall prospect in the ESPNU 150 and the No. 2 running back. Prior to his visit to Penn State, Lattimore had made an official visit to Auburn. Though he did not commit to the Nittany Lions, he was impressed with what he saw in Beaver Stadium on Saturday.

"It's a good atmosphere," Lattimore said. "Probably the best one."
