Tony Jefferson (Chula Vista, Calif./Eastlake) committed to UCLA in late July, however, he is taking official visits to other schools and will make a Midwest trip this weekend.
Jefferson, who made an official visit to Oklahoma last weekend, will visit Michigan this weekend. He also plans to take an official visit to Florida the weekend of Nov. 28 and likely won't make a final decision on his college until January.
The Wolverines have struggled on the defensive side of the ball for the second year in a row and are looking for middle of the field defenders. Coach Rich Rodriguez would like to land a great safety and a great middle linebacker this recruiting season, and Jefferson would certainly fill the Wolverines' opening at safety, if Rodriguez can convince him to head to Ann Arbor.
