If Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia) wins Pennsylvania's Class AAA championship expect a skilled, talented senior to lead the way. Considering it now has four players from the Class of 2010 who have accepted scholarships to Division I schools, that's a reach. Thursday afternoon Mustafaa Jones, a 6-foot-1 guard, became the latest player to commit when he chose the University of Hartford over New Hampshire and Howard.
"The classes have 15 to 20 students; that was appealing," said Jones, who likely will major in business. "They play in a competitive league (America East) against Binghamton and Boston University and the coaches are great."
Smith said, he developed a solid rapport with assistant Rick Brunson, who like head coach Dan Leibovitz attended Temple. Brunson urged Leibovitz to make Smith a priority.
