Thursday morning quick hitters.
• ESPN affiliate AuburnUndercover.com reported Wednesday night that the nation's top running back prospect,
Michael Dyer (Little Rock, Ark./Little Rock Christian), still plans to announce his decision at a press conference Friday morning at his school. All signs point to him picking Auburn over Arkansas, Tennessee and others.
• Florida State has sent two recent offers of note, one to a 2010 prospect in Hawaii. Linebacker
Shaydon Akuna (Kaploei, Hawaii/Kaploei) was one of the more impressive prospects at this summer's All-Poly Camp in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The other offer went out to Class of 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List linebacker
Shannon Brown (Adel, Ga./Cook County). The Seminoles join a host of other schools in offering the big linebacker.
