Johnson may be nearing commitment

Offensive lineman Justin Johnson (Parkersburg, W.V./Parkersburg) and his teammate, running back Allan Wasonga, are arguably the top two juniors in the state of West Virginia. Both already have at least one scholarship offer on the table.

The 6-foot-3 and 295-pound Johnson starts at offensive tackle for Parkersburg as his brother Josh Jenkins did two years ago. Jenkins is now a starting guard for the West Virginia Mountaineers, and it looks like Johnson will be joining his brother in Morgantown.

"Justin has been offered (a scholarship) by West Virginia," Parkersburg assistant coach Mark McCullough said. "I believe Maryland will offer shortly. But I feel Justin will commit to West Virginia. He might commit this weekend."
