The battle lines between Michigan State and Michigan for the top 2011 prospects in the state of Michigan have already been drawn. The Spartans and Wolverines have both offered a scholarship to two top in-state juniors.
Wide receiver
DeAnthony Arnett (Saginaw, Mich./Saginaw) caught 41 passes for almost 900 yards and 10 touchdowns during his junior season. Arnett has scholarship offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Oregon and Eastern Michigan. Notre Dame, Oklahoma, LSU, USC and Cincinnati are also showing significant interest.
"Everybody's been in contact," Arnett said. "USC just popped into the mix. That's big."
