Trovon Reed will take his first official visit this coming weekend when he heads to Pac 10 country to watch a pair of top 10 programs go at it.
All eyes will be in Eugene (Ore.) this weekend when the Oregon Ducks host USC in a battle for Pac 10 supremacy. The Ducks will be bringing in several players for official visits including the very talented Reed.
"He can't wait to get out there," Sean Nelson, Reed's guardian, said. "This is the first visit for him so Trovon is really excited to see what Oregon is all about. He has heard so many great things about the school and is ready to experience all that for himself.
"They need receivers so there's an opportunity to play early. They have a good coaching staff that has been recruiting him really hard, we heard they have great facilities, the weather is always nice there being on the West Coast, there's the NIKE connection and he likes their uniforms a lot. Oregon has a lot going for them and Trovon is very interested in the school."
Reed has had a difficult senior season; he sprained his MCL early on and has missed the last four games of the season.
"He's starting to run again and will be back on the field next week," Nelson said. "It's a good thing it was his MCL and not his ACL so he's thankful to be back out there. Trovon will take an official visit to Tennessee next weekend (Nov. 6) and he's still looking at LSU, Auburn and Florida.
"He won't drag his recruitment out just to do it. As soon as he knows where he should go, he'll go ahead and commit. I know some players want to wait and commit at one of the All-American games but I don't think Trovon will do that. He'll probably commit before then and be done with it."
