Marquise Anderson (Cibolo, Texas/Byron M. Steele) has 12 offers. The majority of the Big 12 has offered along with Houston. Texas is likely to offer in February to push the number to 13.
• Linebacker Ryan Simmons (Cibolo, Texas/Byron M. Steele) is one of many fast-rising juniors in the state. The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder has an offer from Houston with programs from the Big 12 and Pac-10 showing serious interest.
• Junior linebacker
Kendall Thompson (Carthage, Texas/Carthage) is receiving heavy interest from Oklahoma, Texas and Houston, among others. The 6-3, 230-pounder has 65 tackles and three interceptions in eight games this season. Thompson attended the Red River Rivalry game two weeks ago.
