Prater's Illinois visit still on

USC commit wide receiver Kyle Prater (Hillside, Ill./Proviso West), the No. 43 prospect in the ESPNU 150, will make an official visit to Illinois this weekend.

"Yeah, the visit is still on," Prater said on Wednesday night. "I'm still committed to USC. I'm taking visits to make sure, but my commitment to USC is still there."

Prater's visit to Illinois this weekend when the Fighting Illini play Michigan won't be his last official visit. After visiting Illinois, Prater plans to make official visits to USC Nov. 14, Notre Dame Nov. 21 and Oklahoma Nov. 28. Proviso West is currently 5-4 and headed for a playoff game on Friday night for the first time in school history.
