U.S. National Teamers from back in the day usually aren't shy about sharing their thoughts on the present squad. Some even get paid to do it as analysts on the ESPN family of networks. Nonetheless, it's always insightful talking to America's soccer legends, guys who have represented the USA in countless qualifiers and at multiple World Cups.
