Kendall Hayes (Lancaster, Texas/Lancaster) is one of the top dual-sport athletes in the state. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder has football offers from Big 12, C-USA and WAC programs, with track offers coming out of the Big 12, SEC and Pac-10.
Last weekend, the versatile athlete took his first official visit when the Kansas Jayhawks hosted Hayes on a track and football visit.
"It went well," Hayes said. "I had a lot of fun. It was both a track and football visit. It started out more track, but ended up being both. I was with the track team, but had a few hours with the football team. I went into the locker room and watched them go through pregame and stuff. My offer is just track right now, but they are starting to recruit me in football too,"
