Three Strikes: Phils, Yanks close but uncommon

STRIKE ONE -- A TALE OF TWO CITIES DEPT.

They play in ballparks located just 108 miles apart. But outside of geography, the Yankees and Phillies have about as much in common as Kim Kardashian and Queen Elizabeth II. Think about it:

• Both teams have been around longer than a century. But the Yankees will be playing in their 40th World Series. The Phillies will be playing in their 32nd World Series game.

• The Yankees will try to win their 27th World Series. The Phillies will try to win their 10th postseason series, period.
