Q: If I'm the Jets, I don't think there's a player I'd like to lose less than Kris Jenkins. If you don't have a player of his caliber plugging the middle in the 3-4, people are going to run all over you. Can they adapt without him?

    The former president of the Pro Football Writers of America, Schefter is also the author of four books. His latest, The Class of Football, was released this summer by Harper Collins. The married father of two is a graduate of both the University of Michigan and the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. He resides in New York.
