Here are a few Monday morning quick hitters …
• Offensive lineman Ed Christian's commitment to Auburn, which was first reported Sunday by ESPN affiliate AuburnUndercover.com, should not come as a surprise. Despite some reports that speculated he was wide open and considering multiple schools, Christian was locked in on the Tigers as a destination after he backed out of his commitment to Florida State. Credit the Auburn coaching staff with snatching Christian, from Lowndes High in Valdosta, Ga., from the Seminoles. Valdosta has been good to Florida State during recent recruiting cycles.
• In another move that was not a shocker, Under Armour All-American receiver
Tai-ler Jones (Gainesville, Ga./Gainesville) switched his commitment from Stanford to Notre Dame during his official visit to South Bend this past weekend to watch the USC game. ESPN affiliate IrishSportsDaily.com was the first to report the news Sunday afternoon.
